Entry #1 - Memories, instincts and urges
Aug. 20th, 2024 11:52 amOver the past few years, I learned that my species likes to rest and relax on trees.
I seem to be a quite feral dragon, living similar to arboreal and semi-aquatic reptiles known to humanity on Earth. It's quite odd and confusing, I understand how I could be unsure about my theriotype/kintype for so long. My experiences are such a mess sometimes. I wouldn't even know about an arboreal, semi-aquatic reptile that can be found on beaches and lakes/swamps, eats mainly fish but is largely omnivorous, has some black and yellow for sure and such a thick armor and such weird feeling feet, horns and so much more... they all add up to me being an drake, for sure.
I need to admit that, in the past, I was quite much of an elitist for myself. I tried to look as reasonable as possible (perhaps that was the result of "show us proof/explain exactly why you think that you're actually a wolf or you won't be let into our space" grilling kinda thing). I didn't want to believe to be something unknown to humanity, a dragon or something that today's humans never managed to see. But to understand myself, I first have to accept myself. On some days, I'm still struggling with that in the sense of actually being proud of being a drake. I'm working on getting better with this. Mostly, I'm confused about my mind saying I'm definitely a chonky/stocky looking creature but I'm actually a flightless dragon.
Maybe I'm just some sort of stocky looking drake?
I have no idea.
In my memories, swamp areas are still a thing. So, my planet looks quite tropical with some arid spaces. And even snow might be seen at the top altitudes, too. Not sure about that one, tho. But I feel at home in areas which have plenty of conifers to offer, as well as mountains and lakes. Alaska, Canada, Southern Germany and similar would describe such an area. But I also feel hugely at home around tropical water bodies and swamps. I also see a desert in my memories. Idk which one my main territory was and why I've been at so many places (maybe I followed prey or I was on the lookout for a mate, I can't tell) but Ik that these areas are existent on my home planet.
Well, time will tell more. Let's see what the future withholds.
